Artist's Description

Frisco 4003 is a 2-8-2, Mikado type, standard gauge steam railway locomotive built by the American Locomotive Company in 1919 as a standard USRA light Mikado for the Pennsylvania Railroad. The PRR, for unknown reasons, rejected 33 of 38 locomotives in the order. The USRA reassigned 23 of them (road numbers 4000-4007 and 4017-4031) to the St. Louis and San Francisco Railway, better known as the "Frisco". I moved back to Wisconsin, where I was born . I picked up my camera again and started shooting anything and everything that I found interesting. I never go any where without my camera. While living with level 10 pain and walking with a cane ( at times I...
